Jakarta Communication, Information, and Statistic (Kominfotik) Agency deployed personnel to monitor COVID-19 prevention protocols in several traditional markets in Jakarta.

From today's monitoring, most of merchants and market visitors understand the importance of wearing mask

North Jakarta Kominfotik Sub-agency Head, Herlinda Harmaini stated, her side carried out monitoring in accordance with letter of assignment No. 554/- 081 regarding Monitoring, Supervision, and Enforcement of Peop le's Activities During the Transition Period of Large-scale Social Restrictions Towards a Healthy, Safe, and Productive Community.

"From today's monitoring, most of merchants and market visitors understand the importance of wearing mask, but some of them who don't wear mask are sanctioned to sweep the road," she mentioned when monitoring at Duta Mas market, Wijaya Kusuma Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Tuesday (7/7).

In this chance, her side held monitoring together with other personnel from Satpol PP, Urban Village, and Sub-district with assistance from TNI/Police.

Wijaya Kusuma Urban Village Head, Novi Indria Sari conveyed, monitoring is carried out routinely to ensure the implementation of PSBB and Pergub No. 42/2019 concerning Obligation to Use Eco-friendly Shopping Bags. Her side always reminds market visitors and merchants for not using disposable plastic bags.

"Today, we received assistance from Diskominfotik and sub-district. In the morning, social sanction imposed on two residents who didn't wear mask," she added.

In the other hand, Perumda Pasar Jaya's Tomang Barat Area Staff, Siswo Husodo explained, Duta Mas Market has 370 kiosks with total 150 merchants. Once an hour, her side reminds merchants and visitors to implement health protocols and use eco-friendly bags.

"In here, we also conduct disinfectant spraying independently once every 3 days and every Friday by West Jakarta Gulkarmat personnel," he asserted.
